Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
This page explains our practices regarding the sale and sharing of personal information, and how you can exercise your privacy rights under applicable state law.
Draft template notice. This page provides a general framework covering opt-out rights commonly required under state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). Before publishing, this content should be reviewed and finalized by CalmCare’s legal counsel to confirm applicability and full compliance with any state-specific requirements.
Our practice: we do not sell your information
CalmCare Psychiatry Clinic does not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. This has always been our practice, independent of any specific state law requirement, because the nature of the information we handle — details about your mental health and treatment — deserves that baseline protection regardless of where you live.
This page is separate from our Notice of Privacy Practices, which covers how we use your protected health information for treatment, payment, and healthcare operations under HIPAA. This page instead addresses rights under general consumer privacy laws that may apply to personal information collected through our website, such as browsing activity or contact form submissions.
Your rights under state privacy law
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding personal information we collect:
Right to opt out
Direct us not to sell or share your personal information, even though this is already our standing practice.
Right to know
Request details about the categories of personal information we’ve collected and why.
Right to delete
Request deletion of personal information we’ve collected, subject to certain legal and record-keeping exceptions.
Right to correct
Request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
Right to non-discrimination
Exercise any of these rights without receiving different treatment or reduced quality of care as a result.
Categories of information we may collect
Through our website and in the course of providing care, we may collect the following general categories of information:
Identifiers (name, email, phone)
Health information
Commercial information (billing)
Internet activity on our website
Geolocation (general area only)
Health information collected as part of your care is governed primarily by our Notice of Privacy Practices and HIPAA, which provides protections beyond what general consumer privacy law requires. Website analytics and contact form data, by contrast, are handled under the general practices described on this page.
We limit third-party access to this information to service providers who help us operate our website and communications — such as hosting and email delivery — and we require those providers to handle any data solely on our behalf, never for their own independent use or resale.
